Alevo to invest $251M in Concord plant, add 200 jobs

Swiss energy-storage company Alevo will invest $251 million in expanding its battery production plant in Concord, adding 200 jobs there over the next five years. The company is eligible for more than $13 million in state and local incentives. Alevo, which will hire workers in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and logistics, says pay will average $56,327. That’s higher than the average annual wage in Cabarrus County of $37,808.
