BofA putting uptown parcel on market

Bank of America Corp. plans to sell a prominent parcel between College and North Tryon streets in uptown Charlotte, necessitating a move for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police to a site nearby. CMPD’s Central Division is currently in a building it leases at the corner of Seventh and College streets, part of a 1.3-acre plot owned by BofA. A bank spokesperson couldn’t be reached for more information about BofA’ plans for the site, which is part of the Sixth and Tryon area targeted for a major redevelopment.
