Downtown Raleigh Alliance losing CEO

David Diaz, who has headed the Downtown Raleigh Alliance for the past decade, will leave the nonprofit for a job in Virginia. His last day as CEO will be March 10. During Diaz’ tenure, the DRA helped attract more than $2 billion in investment and created a retail strategy plan for the city’s downtown district. The DRA board will appoint an interim director until a permanent successor can be named.
