Duke Energy Corp. CEO Lynn Good’s pay jumped 27% last year to $13.8 million, buoyed by $9 million in performance-based awards. Good, the former chief financial officer who was named Duke’s CEO in 2013, earned $10.8 million in 2015. Charlotte-based Duke earned $2.1 billion in 2016, versus $2.8 billion a year earlier. Shares, however, gained 13.5% in 2016 after declining 10% in 2015. In other news, Duke says it won’t hold an in-person annual shareholders meeting this year, opting instead to go with a real-time online meeting May 4.
