DuraFiber to lay off hundreds if buyer not found

Huntersville-based DuraFiber Technologies says it will close its plants in the Carolinas unless a buyer can be found by Sept. 11, a move that would affect some 800 employees at three plants in Salisbury, Shelby and Winnsboro, S.C. DuraFiber says its operations in France, Germany and Mexico will not be affected.
