N.C. Attorney General eliminates 45 jobs, cites $10M in budget cuts

N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein has eliminated 45 positions at the state Department of Justice, citing $10 million in recent budget cuts to the department. Stein says additional job cuts have been staved off, and he is calling on legislators to fill the department’s remaining budget gap.
