N.C. Attorney General orders Charlotte School of Law to close

N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein has ordered Charlotte School of Law to shut down, and his office sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Education to notify it that the school’s license to operate in the state had expired. The school, cut off from federal student loans and targeted by the American Bar Association over its first-time bar passage rates, fired about two-thirds of its faculty early this year.
