Premium sock maker looks for big growth

Mount Airy-based Nester Hosiery, which makes premium socks, has hired a new Vice President of Sales who expects to see big growth at the company. Chris Nitzche expects to grow sales of wool performance socks for outdoor enthusiasts by 35 percent to 40 percent next year. He expects that growth to come from expanding availability at specialty outdoor shops and Whole Foods locations.
