Raleigh approves $1M in incentives for Infosys

The Raleigh City Council has approved $1 million in incentives for India-based technology company Infosys if it chooses Raleigh as the site of its new technology hub. Infosys said in July that it planned to hire 2,000 in Wake County to staff the new operations. So far, the state has offered Infosys a $25 million incentive package, and Wake County this week approved a $94,000 grant. The new jobs will pay $72,146 on average, nearly $20,000 a year more than the county average.
