Sale of Triad textile firm to bring 133 new jobs

Acme-McCrary, a 108-year old textile company that employs 300 in Randolph County, is expected to be sold to private investment firm MAS US Holdings. Randolph County and the city of Asheboro are considering incentive payments totaling $300,000, split equally, if MAS US Holdings expands Acme-McCrary’s operations with 133 new jobs and a $20 million investment. MAS US Holdings is affiliated with MAS Capital Ltd., a textile firm in Sri Lanka.
