Sri Lankan textile firm to bring 133 jobs to Randolph County

Sri Lankan textile company MAS Holdings will buy Acme-McCrary Corp., a 108-year-old hosiery manufacturer in Asheboro, and expand its operations with a $20 million investment. The move is expected to create 133 new jobs. According to the office of N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper, MAS Holdings is eligible for $575,000 in state incentives if it meets job creation and capital investment targets. The company has more than 85,000 employees in 15 countries.
