Turkish firm pledges up to 390 jobs in Winston-Salem

A Turkish textile company has pledged to create up to 390 jobs in Winston-Salem as the next step following its February purchase of the assets of defunct Microfibres Inc. In exchange, Tukek Holding Inc. is requesting up to $125,000 in performance-based incentives from the city to help offset capital expenses for its startup company, HBFabrics Inc. Tukek says it will spend nearly $3.9 million over five years to upgrade the former Microfibres facility, along with buying new equipment.
